YOUTH CHAMPIONSHIP EVENT - Day 02

Award ceremony of 100 Sinhalese, Tamil and Muslim youth who studied Tamil and Sinhalese languages in the two Tamil and Sinhala language classes held in Negombo in accordance with the 90-hour National Languages Equality Advancement Project (NLEAP) curriculum under the Youth Engagement for Language Rights Promotion Program, It was held at Uva Management Development Institute in the 29th and 30th July 2023. Mr. Tirunaukarusu Marimuttu, Deputy Director of the National Languages Equality Advancement Project and Mr. Nias Raskin, Training and Language Consultant Specialist of the National Languages Equality Advancement Project, Professor Siri Hettige, Director of the Center for Development Research and Intervention and Namal Weerasena, Administrative Secretary participated as invited guests. Award ceremony of 100 Sinhalese, Tamil and Muslim youth who studied Tamil and Sinhala languages in the two Tamil and Sinhala language classes held in Negombo in accordance with the 90-hour National Languages Equality Advancement Project (NLEAP) curriculum under the Youth Engagement for Language Rights Promotion Program, It was held at Uva Management Development Institute in the 29th and 30th July 2023. On the first day of the program, the field trip was to climb Namunukula mountain and at night, the talent show of the youth was also done. Negombo Community Brotherhood Organization, Weligama Voice Our Talent and Kantale Shakthi Foundation partnered for this. Policy Formulation For Religious Freedom

A panel discussion was held on July 20, 2023 at the Negombo Divisional General Secretariat Auditorium aimed at formulating the necessary policies for religious freedom. Organized by Community Brotherhood Organization under the Process for Action for Religious Coexistence project of the National Peace Council of Sri Lanka.
