Award ceremony of 100 Sinhalese, Tamil and Muslim youth who studied Tamil and Sinhalese languages in the two Tamil and Sinhala language classes held in Negombo in accordance with the 90-hour National Languages Equality Advancement Project (NLEAP) curriculum under the Youth Engagement for Language Rights Promotion Program, It was held at Uva Management Development Institute in the 29th and 30th July 2023. Mr. Tirunaukarusu Marimuttu, Deputy Director of the National Languages Equality Advancement Project and Mr. Nias Raskin, Training and Language Consultant Specialist of the National Languages Equality Advancement Project, Professor Siri Hettige, Director of the Center for Development Research and Intervention and Namal Weerasena, Administrative Secretary participated as invited guests. Negombo Community Brotherhood Organization, Weligama Voice Our Talent and Kantale Shakti Foundation partnered for this. The entire program was sponsored by the Center for Development Research and Intervention.
