The International Women's Day program was held in Negombo under the theme Not to celebrate... Let's unite for freedom by Community Brotherhood Organization. There, the challenges and threats faced by women were discussed and the main comment was made by Social activist Wimalasena Silva. An exhibition of posters created violence against women was also held according to the issues discussed by the participating women.
