Importance Of Campaigning For Democratic Elections While Protecting Harmony During The Election Process

A program to educate candidates contesting for the Negombo Municipal Council, religious leaders and local inter-religious committee members, the youth community about the importance of campaigning for democratic elections while protecting harmony during the election process and the regulation of election expenses, election law was recently conducted in Negombo. Sponsored by the  National Peace Council of Sri Lanka.  

Engaging In Resolving Identified Issues In State Sector Service Delivery Institutions

  Under the National Language Development Project, with the aim of promoting the second language, the National Peace Council of Sri Lanka and the Community Brotherhood Organization jointly provided the Negombo Divisional Secretariat with name boards stating the names and positions of government officials in all three languages. Negombo Divisional Secretary Mr. Ayesh Perera and members of the community brotherhood organization participated in the event and the name boards were handed over to the Honorable Divisional Secretary.
