  The Community Brotherhood Organization donated sanitary materials and other necessities to the people of Katana Divisional Secretariat Division in Gampaha District, who were affected by the flood disaster that affected Sri Lanka, to the Honorable Divisional Secretary Mrs. A.S.J.P. With the aim of developing the personality of children, the Community Brotherhood Organization conducted a personality development program for 25 children of BPA/Meega/Kondagamulla Junior School in the Negombo Education Zone on November 7, 2025. Here, the children were trained on the hidden talents, presentation skills, how to be more active in the school environment, and how to develop their personality.

  As a step towards strengthening the voice of the community through empowering the sexual and reproductive rights of the community, implemented by the Dabindu Collective, a community awareness prevention program was held at the Negombo Dalupotha on 22nd September 2025 from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm. The program was organized and conducted by the Community Brotherhood Organization, and female community leaders participated in this awareness as the target group. #Empowerment #communityawareness #sexualandreproductiverights

Under the Prevention and Empowerment Program implemented by the Community Brotherhood Organization, training of members of 17 community-based organizations and NGOs operating in the Negombo and Katana Divisional Secretariat Divisions to prevent various forms of violence against women and girls was held at the Katana Demanhandiya on 10th May 2025. The resource person for this workshop was Dr. Danushka Ganegoda, a psychology consultant.  

 

 

  The Orientation program of the “Prevention and Empowerment” by the Community Brotherhood Organization with the aim of minimizing various forms of violence against women and girls in the gender-based society was held at The Lawn Reception hall, Negombo on January 21, 2025. Government officials from the Katana and Negombo Divisional Secretariat Divisions, officers from the Children and Women Bureau of the Negombo and Katana Police Stations, Katana and Negombo Medical Health Officers, the District Women's Development Coordinator, the District NGO Coordinator, the Legal Officer of the Negombo Legal Aid Commission, the Samurdhi Bank Managers, civil organizations and women leaders, participated for this program.
